The program of Women’s Rights Advancement and Protection Alternative (WRAPA) enters its second day today at Lamonde Hotel in Jos, Plateau State Nigeria, with sessions been led by Lady Kaneng Rwang Pam, a renowned Media Consultant and a resource person on “women and girls issues”, locally and internationally.
During the session today, Kaneng, who is a consultant to WRAPA, made the participants to recap on the various sessions they had yesterday. She made it clear to the participants that interacting on perception would enable participants broaden their knowledge on the issues at hand, which is the Rights of Women and how to protect them.
The session with Kaneng however, is expected to end with a draft communiqué on how to create a Network against Women and Girls abuses, rape and other violations.
The session is also expected to synergies the Law and the Traditional norms and value systems and the best adoptable pathway for Plateau State and its good people.
In an exclusive interview with REALITY, Kaneng Rwang Pam, emphasized that, in the course of her session with the participants, it is also expected to strengthen Community Drive of Anti-Violence Against Women and Girls (VANG).
You would recall that REALITY had reported that, yesterday’s session had the 25 expected participants drawn from various “Women Based” pressure groups existing in Plateau State in attendance and that, according to the content of the invitation letters sent to participants, the Organization, which is also a Non-Political and Non-Profit Charitable Organization, is seeking to use the program in Jos, to establish a community to advance and protect the rights of women, as provided for by, “National Laws and Policies, including, Regional and International Treaties and Agreements”.
