It has come to the notice or the Jos South collation agents in the 2024 LG election that the entire LG haS been shortchanged. The much advertised free and fair LG election seem to have taken a different dimension today, during the distribution of both sensitive and none sensitive materials.

The total number of registered voters in Jos South is 307,672, but PLASIEC has provided just 150,000 ballot papers each for both Councillorship and Chairmanship election. This amounts to just 49% of the total voting population in the LGA. 157,672 ballot papers for each election today was not produced and this amounts to about 51% people disenfranchised.

We the various party agents together with the LG EO, agreed that no additional ballot papers will be accepted for this election outside the 150,000 ballot papers each already distributed to the various electoral Wards and Polling Units.
