JUST IN: “WE WILL NOT RIG LG ELECTIONS”. GOV. MUTFWANG PROMISES, AS HE HANDS OVER FLAGS TO J.K. CHRIS, OTHER CHAIRMANSHIP CANDIDATES

The Governor of Plateau State, Barr Caleb Mutfwang has promised the people of Plateau State, and other political parties that have indicated interest to contest for various positions in the forthcoming Local Government Council (LGC) elections in the state that his administration would not rig to get victory in the elections.

The Governor, who spoke while presenting the party’s flag to Jos-North chairmanship candidate, J. K. Chris (Esq), reiterated that “Plateau is PDP and PDP is Plateau”.

Governor Mutfwang, while also presenting flags to other Five (5) chairmanship candidates, making up the Six (6) Local Government Councils (LGCs) in the Northern Zone of the state, advised other contestants of other political parties that may have indicated interest to contest, not to invest wrongly because, “the people are for and with PDP”.

Others who spoke at the occasion were, the Deputy Governor of the State, Mrs. Josephine C. Piyo, the former Senator representing the Northern zone, Sen. M. Simon, the state Chairman of the PDP, Hon. Chris Hassan, and the leader of the Elders’ Forum.

They all took time to praise the Governor for making the party proud especially, with his visible good works across the state.

 Earlier, while welcoming the gathering, the Chairman of the Zone, Hon. Davou C. Mang, informed the gathering that the occasion was also slated to welcome decampees in the six Local Government Areas (LGAs) that constitute the zone.

He described them as, “People who are coming back home”
