BREAKING: GOV. MUTFWANG’s SOCIAL MEDIA CRITIC, SAMUEL BATURE, GRANTED BAIL. MATTER ADJOURNED FOR CMC

The Social Media Critic, Samuel Bature, who was arrested and detained by the Nigeria Police for allegedly criticizing Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s administration in Plateau State has been granted bail by the Plateau State High Court.

The application for bail moved by the Defence Counsel, H. N. Dashe (Esq) in the suit titled: “The People of Plateau State vs. Samuel Bature”, was not objected to by the Prosecution led by the Honourable Attorney General of the State, Philemon Dafi (Esq).

 

However, the Court granted the bail on the conditions that the Defendant would provide two sureties, resident within Jos-Bukuru metropolis, and that, while one of the sureties would be a Community Leader, the other must be a Clergy. 


 The matter has been adjourned to the 17th and 21st of October for Case Management Conference (CMC) and trail if need be.
