The Nigerian Medical Association Plateau State branch has trained 47 Journalists on the process of healing and rescue on the issue of Anaesthesia that is already becoming a pandemic.
You would recall that the world Anaesthesia Day is also set aside to mark the World Heart Day.

The Chairman of Jos-North chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State, Hon. Elijah Itsegot, has called on new elected Executives to keep to their campaign promises made to the citizens.
The Chairman gave this advice while in an exclusive interview with REALITY crew, after the Executive Chairman of Jos-North Local Government Council (LGC) resumed office.
You would recall that the Council Chairman, Hon. J. K. Chris (Esq), had within days of his resumption, appointed a Secretary for the Council, and he has received the new Leadership of the Legislative Arm.

The new Executive Chairman of Jos-North Local Government Council (LGC), Hon. John K. Christopher, has finally resumed duties officially, after he was sworn in by the State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang.
The Council Chairman on resumption, and as a first duty, toured the Local Government offices in company of the Director of Personnel Management (DPM), Mr. Suleiman, while special prayers were offered on his behalf for the success of the his administration by the staff of the Council present.

The ceremony which took place yesterday, 15/10/2024, at the Local Government Council, was witnessed by a mammoth crowd.

The Chairman of Jos-North Local Government Council, Hon. John K. Christopher has received in his office, the new leadership of Jos North Legislative Arm, who were inaugurated by the Clerk, Philip Atsen, yesterday.
The Legislative arm is to be led by Hon. Job Ayuba Izang, while his Deputy is Hon. Okoro Uzoma.

The Direct Criminal Complaint case filed by Superfine Furniture against Yakubu Jang has been adjourned to the 27th of November 2024, for hearing after Case Management Conference (CMC).
You would recall that REALITY had reported that the case is before a Chief Magistrate Court at Abattoir in Jos.
At the CMC today, the Claimants Lawyer, D. A. Dalung (Esq) was allowed by the Court to move his application since, the Defence Counsel did not file anything in response.

Plateau State Governor Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has declared Thursday, 10th October 2024, as a Public Holiday.
The State Government, in a press release dated 9th October 2024, made available to media houses in the state, signed by Mary C. Fom, the Permanent Secretary (Policy & General Services) for the Secretary to the Government of the State, stated that the holiday is declared by the Governor, “to enable citizens who traveled for the Local Government Elections to return”.

Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) has appealed to electorates and the general public for patience during the ongoing Local Government Council (LGC) elections in the 17 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state, over the hitches being experienced.
PLASIEC has also notified the general public, political parties, candidates and stakeholders that the time for voting has been extended in its press release..

As the local government council elections are going on in Plateau State, political party agents in Jos-South Local Government Area have raised alarm over inadequate ballot-papers.
In a Special Announcement signed by all the political party agents, made available to REALITY, they signatories claimed that the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC), only provided 150, 000 ballot-papers for the elections each for the Chairmanship and Councillorship elections respectively, when the numbers of registered voters is 307,672.

Today, Wednesday, the 9th of October 2024, is Local Government Council elections’ day as slated by the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC).
According to the Chairman of the Commission, Hon. Plangji Daniel Cishak, the election would take place in the 17 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the State and in 4,989 Polling Units.

The yet to be published voters’ list in most polling units ahead of the forthcoming Plateau State Local Government Council (LGC) elections is become an issue of public debate among residents in Jos, the capital of the state, as residents continue to visit there polling units to be certain whether, they are still legible to vote.
A cross check by this Newspaper in Jenta Adamu, (A combination of Jenta-Makari, Jenta-Adamu and Jenta-Mangoro) among most communities that form the suburb of Jos-North Local Government Area (LGA), indicates that most polling units, apart from that in St. Theresa’s Primary School, have no recently published Voter’s List.

Bashar Communities’ Development Association (BACODA) in Wase Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State, has called on the Governor of Plateau State, Barr Caleb Mutfwang to rescind and withdraw the decision to suspend the Rena of Bashar, HRH. Alhaji Abudullahi Idris Isa, citing “Advanced Tension” in the area.
The Communities, while addressing the press at the NUJ Press Center today said, the decision of the State Government is causing disunity among the people of Bashar.

The Social Media Critic, Samuel Bature, who was arrested and detained by the Nigeria Police for allegedly criticizing Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s administration in Plateau State has been granted bail by the Plateau State High Court.
The application for bail moved by the Defence Counsel, H. N. Dashe (Esq) in the suit titled: “The People of Plateau State vs. Samuel Bature”, was not objected to by the Prosecution led by the Honourable Attorney General of the State, Philemon Dafi (Esq).

The Governor of Plateau State, Barr Caleb Mutfwang has promised the people of Plateau State, and other political parties that have indicated interest to contest for various positions in the forthcoming Local Government Council (LGC) elections in the state that his administration would not rig to get victory in the elections.
The Governor, who spoke while presenting the party’s flag to Jos-North chairmanship candidate, J. K. Chris (Esq), reiterated that “Plateau is PDP and PDP is Plateau”.

Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission (NASIEC) has finally fixed 2nd November 2024, to conduct Local Government Council (LGC) elections in the state.
The Chairman of the Commission, Barr. Ayuba Wandai Usman, disclosed this today (Wednesday), while briefing newsmen in office on the conduct of the elections.
According to the Chairman, the delay in conducting the Council elections was due to a case filed by one Paul A. John (Esq), and twelve others, against the State Assembly and the Commission at the Federal High Court, Lafia.

The Plateau State chapter of the Labour Party (LP), has called on the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) to conduct the 9th October 2024 Local Government elections in the 17 Local Government Areas (LGAs) free and fair.
The party in a press briefing today at the NUJ press center, addressed by the Chairman of its Campaign Council, Hon. Engr. Dalyop Chollom, who doubles as, member representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency of Plateau State, has also debunked the rumours making the rounds that the candidates of the party have stepped down in the coming Local Government Council elections, while also condemning the vandalization of its campaign materials across the state.
