A strong member and a major stakeholder of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State has called on Nigerian Youths to have a rethinking and disregard the call for the upcoming planned nationwide protest, but rather, continue to think of how the country and its people can be reunited again.
In his message titled: “A Call to Nigeria's Youth: Let Us Choose Peace!” ESV Podar Johnson Yiljwan, urged the youths not to fall for those who seek to exploit the current economic frustrations for their personal gains.
Hon. Podar in his message to the youths in Nigeria, made available to REALITY, called on the youths to join hands to address pressing issues in the country like, Banditry, Kidnapping, Religious extremism, Regional and Tribal divisions, Economic inequality, Political exploitation, among others.

“For change to take place, we must be willing to sacrifice, knowing that hardships will cut across the country, but only for a while. I truly believe that our country will return to its past glory.
“Let us join hands together to salvage our country, for we have no other country than Nigeria. Though we may differ in tribe, religion, and beliefs, our strength lies in our togetherness.
“We must address the pressing issues of:
- Banditry and kidnapping
- Religious extremism
- Regional and tribal divisions
- Economic inequality
- Political exploitation”

A Call to Nigeria's Youth: Let Us Choose Peace!
I urge Nigerian youths to disregard the call for a nation-wide protest. Our nation is at a critical junction, and we must not be swayed by those who seek to exploit our frustrations for their gain.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, inherited a nation in turmoil - a collapsed economy, a country divided, and a people struggling to survive. To restore our nation's lost glory, we must build bridges of unity, and trust.
However, I am reminded of the devastating consequences of the EndSARS protests, which still lingers. Despite the damages, some sections of the country chose not to participate, citing sentiments and divisions. We must prioritize peace, as violence only exacerbates our problems.
The Hypocrisy of Protests in Nigeria, a country plagued by division, it's astonishing that protests only emerge when certain interests are at stake. Where were the protests when citizens were displaced in Borno, Zamfara, Katsina, Kaduna, Plateau, Benue, and Nasarawa? The silence was deafening.
The most pressing issue now is the forced displacement of people from their ancestral lands. Land grabbers are protected, while rightful owners are left vulnerable. Law-abiding citizens cannot even access their farmlands without fear.
Our country is more divided than ever today, with banditry, kidnapping, and religious tensions on the rise. Regional and tribal divisions also threaten our unity, and we must first address these issues.
Let us not be misled by those who seek to manipulate us for their purposes. Instead, let us work together to build a brighter future for ourselves and Nigeria. Peaceful demonstration is not effective in our country due to mistrust, ideology, and beliefs.
Let's say no to political exploitation and work towards a united, prosperous nation. We have suffered enough, so, let's give peace a chance.
