NAPAS ORIENTATION 2021: CHARTERED INSTITUTE OF TAXATION OF NIGERIA’S CHAIRMAN, MR. ISAAC WADAK, ENCOURAGES TAXATION, AS A PROFESSION

The Chairman of Jos District and Society, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, Mr. Isaac Wadak has encouraged the embracement of Taxation, as a profession in the country and the world at large.

Mr. Wadak, gave this piece of encouragement, while speaking at the 2021 Orientation, organized for new students of Accounting in Plateau State Polytechnic today, at the popular Twin Theater in the main school campus Jos.

Mr. Wadak said, the era of Taxation can never be wished away because, even in the developed economies, Taxation rules, whether directly or indirectly obtained.

He explained that, though the masses in the country are not satisfied, over the usage of the taxes been collected by government and its agents over the years, “time would soon check that”.

MR. WADAK AND THE HOD

The Chairman disclosed to the students that, the Institute now has an Examination Center in Jos, which the students should endeavour to take advantage of.

Corroborating Mr. Wadak’s disclosures, Mr. Reuben, who heads the Plateau State chapter’s Tutorials for Students, explained that, Taxation is a special field of study in Accounting and that, its relevance and importance cannot be over emphasized.

He said, “You would see its importance when you complete your studies here”.

Adding that, “Accounting can be practiced even after retirement. Mr. Wada, a retired Permanent Secretary, from the Plateau State Civil Service is direct example”.

ICAN REPRESENTATIVE

Other professional bodies at the orientation were the members of ICAN, ANAN, and the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Capital Development, who gave their various encouraging speeches to the students.

EXAM OFFICER

For the Head of Department, Mr. Nandom N. and the Examination Office, Mr. Pam Yakubu, in their various admonitions, encouraged the students to be focus on what brought them to the school in order not to disgrace themselves, their families or sponsors.

NAPAS PRESIDENT

Earlier, while welcoming the students to the occasion, the President of the National Association of Polytechnic Accounting Students Plateau State polytechnic Chapter, appreciated the guests for honouring the Association’s invitation to the program.

According to him, “You Students are privileged to have them around. Listen to their wise advises”.

You would recall that, valrealityradio.live, had this morning reported that, the National Association of Accounting Students, Plateau State Polytechnic had invited, the Jos District and Society, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and its Plateau State chapter’s Chairman, Mr. Isaac Wadak to its 2021 Annual Orientation through an invitation letter, signed by Henry James, the Association’s Secretary General, dated, 23rd February, 2021 and addressed to the Chairman Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.

The highlight of the occasion was the presentation of handbills to the Association on Taxation by Mr. Wadak.
