Over 3250 Students have graduated from Unity Foundation, at the JNI Plateau State Central Mosque today, the 7th of February, 2021.
REALITY gathered that, the Students acquired skills in Cosmetology, Catering and Makeup.
these beneficiaries are from six communities, Zinaria, Filing Sukuwa, Garba Dawo, Gangare And Anguwan Rogo all in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The graduation program that was chaired by, Sheikh Mustapha Aliyu Gwarandom, was also graced by the founder of the Foundation, Alh. Salisu Abdullahi Mai Dankali, the Member representing Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency of Plateau State and the National Assembly, Hon. Haruna Maitala, was represented by, Women Leader, Hajiya Halima, Haske Support Foundation and many others.
In his remarks during the occasion, the founder of the Foundation, Alh. Salisu Abdullahi Mai Dankali, urged the graduates to make use of what they have learnt during the training to better their lives and their immediate communities.
In an on-the-spot interview also with the media, Alh. Salisu, disclosed that, the major aim of setting up the Foundation is to assist in eliminating poverty.
He said, “One of the reasons why I use my money to assist women and men is to help the individual fight poverty in our community. This is because, if we help one and the other assist others, we will gain over the fight against poverty in Plateau State and the country at large.
Alhaji, further used the occasion to call on well to do individuals in Plateau State and Government to always assist the poor.
Some of the beneficiaries Zainab Falke and Naima Usman, while speaking on the training, told REALITY that “They are very happy with the training and will use what they have learnt to assist others too”.
