The All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged the Police and other relevant security services to fish out the killers of the Party’s Nasarawa State Chairman, Mr. Philip Shekwo, who was reportedly abducted from his residence in Lafia, the state capital, on Saturday night and found dead by Sunday morning.
A statement by the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Yekini Nabena, made available to newsmen in Lafia, has described the incident as a dark day for the APC family, and the citizens as a whole.
The statement condoles with the late Shekwo’s immediate family, the Governor and Government of Nasarawa State, the APC’s State Working Committee and all APC supporters, over the shocking development.
The statement however, appealed for a thorough investigation into the gruesome killing by the Police and other relevant security service.
The statement in party states, “We appealed for a thorough investigation into the gruesome killing by the Police and other relevant security service and to quickly fish out the sponsors and perpetrators of this heinous and barbaric crime and make them face the full weight of the Law”.
