The Member representing Jos-North/Bassa Federal Constituency of Plateau State, at the Lower Chambers of the National Assembly, Hon. Haruna Maitala has promised to lift a huge number of the members of his Constituency to a self-sustaining social status by mid December, 2020.
The member made this promise in an exclusive interaction with REALITY yesterday.
According to Hon. Maitala, the need to lift members of his Constituency to a higher and better economic social status is in line with his campaign promises, which has been delayed owing to the challenges he was confronted with immediately after the 2019 general elections that brought him to the National Assembly.
Hon. Maitala disclosed that, his Empower Program, which would be coming up before the end of this year, would see members of his Constituency going home with tools that would enable them become self employed.
“I have bought enough Hair Saloon kits, Tricycles, Sewing Machines, Agric related tools, among several others, which by the Grace of Allah, would be distributed on the day of the program. Hon. Maitala disclosed.
Adding that, “I love my constituents and it is sad that I have not been able to meet their needs for some time now because of the challenges that I was confronted with after the 2019 elections, such as, the Court Cases among others. However, I believe it’s not too late!
“I want to believe that, with the cooperation of my constituents and other leaders, we would make good of the time lift.
“My pray is that we should continue to maintain the existing peace and unity in the Constituency.”
