Mr. Emmanuel Macham, a member of the defunct self-styled Plateau State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party Caretaker Committee, then led by Hon. Nandom Exo and others in the team, have been advised to show respect to the chapter’s constituted authority or leave the party in peace.
In a statement by a group, signed and led by Comrade Sam Chollom and Joshua Kefas, Mr. Emmanuel is urged to show respect to the newly elected Chairman of the party, Hon. Chris Hassan and his team, instead of expressing his disparaging comments on them.
The group said it does not want to join issues with Mr. Emmanuel Macham in his alleged tissues of lies that he continuously dishes out to members of the public, but to call him to order.
According to the statement, dated the 11th of September, 20202, the group said, Mr. Emmanuel should know that his team of self-styled Caretaker Committee, never wanted the State Congress to hold at anytime. Hence, “they were shopping for justice in order to get a restraining Order of Court”.
“If Mr. Macham and his co-travelers could not convince the Courts and the presiding Judges from the State to the Federal High Courts which they had approached to stop the Wards, Local Government and State Congresses that, the organized Congress are illegal and would be injurious to them if conducted, is it on his social media page that he thinks, PDP members and the general public would be convinced?” They questioned.
“From what we continue to read from Mr. Macham, it has become clearer that, their intention was to cripple the chapter and move to another political party. We wish them well, if they leave, but if they must remain, they must show high degree of respect, to members and to the EXCO, as the chapter’s members have tolerated them this far!” The statement further read.
