Red hot FC Molde of Norway and Nigerian striker, Leke James, believes he can lead the Super Eagles attack if given the opportunity.

The 27 years old striker who scored 17 goals for FC Molde last season and has continued in the same rich form this season scoring 7 goals made this known while this known fielding answers to questions on a WhatsApp platform , Nigeria Sports Mouthpiece (NSM) Rebranded.

According to Leke, “If given the opportunity, I can lead the Super Eagles attack. Of course it’s all about opportunities and whereas the only person playing my role in these names you mentioned is Osimhen, I guess. I am a central striker, I am a point man and I believe the other two names (Musa and Chukwueze) are more of from the wings. So, if given the opportunity of course, I can”.

Asked how he would rate the current Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr, Leke said, “I think they are doing a good job rebuilding the team, bringing in a couple of young players. I also see that they are applying a lot of consistency on the team. I think they are doing a good job and hopefully, as the team goes on the work keeps going well, I think of course we could win the nations cup”.

Leke, who had spells in the Chinese Super, believes he would still play in the English Premier League one day.
