NASARAWA: EXPOSE CRIMINAL ELEMENTS AMONG YOU, TERRORIZING NASARAWA LGA NOW! GOV. ABDULLAHI SULE ORDERS

Nasarawa State Governor Engineer Abdullahi Sule has ordered both Traditional rulers and the people of Udege Chiefdom, in Nasarawa Local Government Area (LGA) of the state, to expose criminal elements among them, who have been terrorizing the peace loving people in the area.

The Governor, gave this order in Udege on Sunday, during a sympathy visit to the people of the Chiefdom, following the recent brutal murder of the Monarch of Odu, Mr. Amos Ewa Obere, in the state.

Addressing stakeholders in the palace of Osu Ajiri, Alh. Halilu Bala Usman Sunday, the Governor expressed his deep regrets over what he described, as “the resurgence of insecurity in a Chiefdom that has enjoyed relative peace some couple of months ago.”

“We believe there are criminal elements among the people of this area and we must fish them out.” The Governor declared.

The State Chief Executive warned that, the protection of lives and property of its citizens still remain and will continue to top his administration’s priority. Adding that, he would not fold his arms to allow some disgruntled elements truncate the hard earned peace in the state, as well as, destabilized the economic activities in the respective Chiefdoms.

It is of note that, apart from expressing condolence to the family of the murdered Monarch, the Governor was in the Chiefdom also on a fact finding mission.

The Osu Ajiri on his part, commended Governor Abdullahi Sule, for beefing up security in the area, as well as, on the site of the ongoing construction of Mararaba Udege – Udege Mbeki road.

The Monarch, however, did appealed to the governor to speed up the process of appointing more district heads in the area, in order to improve security and ease of administration in the area and the state at large.

The highpoint of the visit was when Governor Abdullahi was accompanied by the former governor of the state and now Senator, representing the area, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu and other government officials, to the palace of the late Traditional ruler of Odu, late Amos Obere, to apy for condolence.
