PLATEAU PDP POWER PLAY: IT IS ANOTHER COMIC SCENE IN KANKE

While the members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chapter in Plateau State are still yet to understand the drama going on around Hon. Nandom Exodus group of alleged Caretaker Committee in the chapter, another uncalled for drama and comic relief is playing out in Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau State, under the big umbrella of the PDP.

My attention as a PDP member was drawn this morning to a Facebook story, reported by one of these social media platforms and in it, it was reported that, the alleged Secretary of the Nandom led Facebook self-styled Caretaker Committee, got a boost with the support of Kanke Local Government Council members of the Party.

Secondly, after reading the piece, I discovered that popular and astute politicians in Kanke LGA, like, the Gombis, the Bugamas, the Maikudis among others, too many to mention, where not in the entourage, in order to give people like me and other politically minded people across the 17 local governments in the state, the needed sense of acceptance of this self-styled appointment.

From the report, the Secretary never showed his visitors the letter that gave rise to his new appointment nor did his speech indicate that, he was sure of what he was appointed for because, the writer inferred that he was referred to as a dogged fighter.

My question is, is that the job, a fighting Secretary?

I reproduce the report in part as follows:

“Hon. Deshe disclosed that, “We are here today in your house on behalf of the entire membership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kanke Local Government Council as the stakeholders to throws our weight and support to you as the authentic Plateau State PDP secretary ably led by Hon. Nandom Pyennap Exodus As State Chairman endorse by all the members of the Board of Trustee of this great party from Plateau State”.

“We are also here to encourage you, we are here to identify with you, we are here to also support you, because we always know you to be a dogged fighter.”

My suggestion and recommendations to these comic acts currently beclouding the senses been adopted by the Hon. Nandom’s group is for them to, apply educational wisdom, backed by democratic tents and party directives.

It is an undeniable fact that, Wards and Local Government Congresses have been conducted. Names have been submitted and approved by the National office of the PDP. Secondly, these successful persons have been inaugurated and have assumed office.

For any other person(s) to come in their place to show, what the reporter termed “support” is a case of complete impersonation. It is illegal and calls for sanctions. Be advised!
