The North Central Zone office of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has frowned at the new Caretaker Committee recently constituted by Hon. Nandom Exo and his group in its Plateau State chapter and has described the move as illegal, crass insubordination and a gross violation of the party’s constitution.
The North Central Zone office, in a letter dated, 16th May, 2020, signed by the Zonal Publicity Secretary, Arc. Suleiman Mohammed directed Hon. Nandom and his group to apologize to the State and National leaderships over their alleged illegal and condemnable action(s).
“Those involved in this crass insubordination and gross violation of our Constitution must quickly retrace their steps by renouncing this illegal act immediately.
“They are to tender an unreserved and public apology to the National Working Committee (NWC) and leaders of the party in the zone and state.
“They are to avail themselves the opportunity provided by the party dispute resolution/mechanism to get all grievances resolved.” The letter read.
The Zonal office, however, has advised the Caretaker Committee in the state led by Hon. Gwott Chocho on their party to make sure it put in more efforts to get the unity and trust of the members of the chapter.
“We hereby call on the Caretaker Committee under the leadership of Hon. Gwott Yakubu Chocho, to take urgent steps to fully regain the confidence of all party members.
“We further advise the Caretaker Committee to make genuine and deliberate efforts to run an all inclusive administration where every party member is assured of fair treatment and a sense of belonging.” The letter further added.
