Members of the Plateau State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have cried out, citing attempts to impose the EXCO in Jos North Local Government of Plateau State during the Local Government Congresses by some alleged chieftains of the chapter.
Some members of the chapter who proactively had to storm into a hotel room to scuttle an alleged secret exercise by some alleged chieftain, who have now turned culprits, wanting to allegedly write the names of their perceived EXCO member even before the Local Government Congresses kick started were nabbed in the act.
From video clips and photographs obtained by REALITY, The culprits include a serving member of the Plateau State House of Assembly, a former, Jos North Local Government Chairman, a former Secretary of the Party at the State level, a member of the EXCO of the North Central Region and couple of thugs.
From hindsight and information obtained by Reality, some of these culprits were expected to be electoral officers and they were caught in a hotel with electoral materials meant for the PDP Local Government Congresses for Jos North.
REALITY gathered that, suspicions started when delegates assembled at the election venue, near PW, along Zaria Road, Jos, Plateau State, for over Four (4) hours, without any evidence of elections in sight.
It was only then that some inquisitive members, got wind that the materials were held up in a hotel, with the people sent to conduct the election.
Although the matter is currently before the leadership of the state chapter, the members are still crying for justice to be served.
It is a fact that the chapter of the PDP in Plateau State is just recovering from a serious leadership tussle and is on the part of reconciliation and an issue of imposition would be detrimental to the well being of the party at this point in time.
“That is why we are calling for justice to be served. The documents and the video’s footage speak for themselves.” Some aggrieved members have told REALITY.
