The Plateau State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chapter’s Local Government Congresses across the 17 Local Government Areas (LGs) is recording success as the exercise from information reaching REALITY News desk, is going on smoothly.
Apart from the initial delays experienced of later arrival of materials, in Local Governments where elections to select leaders are slated, the exercises are going on peaceful.
Findings also shows that in areas where some of the camps have lost, the leaders of such camps have switched off their hand sets are Reality could no longer reach them.
In Kanke, huge loyalists of Hon. Amos Gombi, the incumbent Deputy Chairman of the chapter, former Comptroller of Customs, Paradang, former Kanke LG Chairman, Hon. Maikudi, were seen lining up behind Hon. Timothy Golu’s candidates.
The early complaints of delayed materials in Jos North LG, seems to have been addressed, as delegates were found standing and discussing issues peacefully.
In Bassa LG, the Congresses seem to have been determined, lost and won. You would recall that the zoning formula in Bassa LG politically is taken and applied religiously.
You would also recall that, Hon. Chris Hassan, the member vying for the Chairmanship seat hails from Bassa LG.
In Bokkos, the story is much the same, as the camp loyal to the State Publicity Secretary Hon. John Akans seems to be pulling the day.
You would recall that, REALITY had reported earlier, that the botched Plateau State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Local Government Congresses has been rescheduled to hold today, Monday.
This was contend in a press release issued this morning by the State Secretary of the party, Hon. Emma Tuang,
It is also expected from the content of the press release of the Secretary that, the screening of State EXCO would hold on Wednesday, the 25th of March, 2020 and the State Congress on Thursday, 26th March, 2020.
