The Bauchi State Commissioner of Finance, Alhaji Nura Manu Soro has stated that the Bauchi State Executive Council has resolved to block leakages in the state Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
Soro, disclosed this while addressing newsmen on the outcome of the Council’s meeting last week Wednesday.
Alhaji Manu Soro said, the Council deliberated on the funding of capital project in order to ensure the completion of the abandoned and ongoing projects across Bauchi state.
The Finance Commissioner said that, the Executive Council also emphasized on the need for transparency and accountability in financial transactions in line with global best practices.
Also speaking, the State Commissioner for Works and Transport, Alhaji Abdulkadir Ibrahim, noted that, in line with the Governor’s mission of overcoming the challenges facing the state, all abandoned road projects would be completed by the present administration within time frame.
Alhaji Abdulkadir Ibrahim, assured the readiness of the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed, towards ensuring the execution of the qualitative projects for the well being of the citizens.
The State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Dr Ladan Salihu said during the meeting, Governor Bala Mohammed has given a roadmap for members of the council on the efforts of his administration to respond to the yearnings and aspirations of people of the state.
