Anambra State Commissioner for Youths Empowerment and Creative Economy, Mr. Afam Mbanefo, has assured youths of Anamba that, more youths with talents would be discovered in the state through the numerous talent haunt shows and skill acquisition progremmes that is already on ground, which are designed to identify talented, creative and innovative youths within Anambra.
He therefore advised them, to showcase their innovation to enable government empower them through partnership programmes.
“The Ministry has trained not fewer than Five Thousand people (5,000) in different skills, including agriculture, with over 33,000 youths to be trained in order to become entrepreneurs across all farming types and value chain.
“These efforts are to make sure that the youths are duly engaged with the skills and knowledge to be economically independent and contribute immensely to the socio-economic development of the state.
“We will make sure to equip you with quality and diversified education and skills in order to give what you get”. The Commissioner said.
Mbanefo, charged youths to be a source of motivation and encouragement to each other, while emphasizing that, transferring knowledge is not only the responsibility of the government, but other stakeholders, especially the youths as well.
He urged the youths to immensely contribute their quota in training their fellow youths. He encouraged every youth organizations both in Diasporas and within the state to come and identify with the ministry.
In his words, he said, “Take a lead from the Diaspora youth groups to make a difference by encouraging the youths in the form of capacity building, introduction of linkage programmes, empowerment and creation of creative hubs.
“This is our time to advance in full inclusiveness and participation,” Mbanefo noted.
