The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Jos, the Plateau State capital has fixed the 27th of May, 2019, to close Pre-hearing in the Petition, EPT/PL/NA/HR/05/2019 filed by Hon. Jonathan Dabo, challenging the victory of Maitala Haruna.
During the Pre-hearing Session on the Petition today, all applications pending in the petition were moved and heard by the Tribunal.
The Tribunal has after listening to the Counsels in the petition move their various applications, adjourned the matter to 27th of May, 2019, for adoption of issues formulated for determination of the petition by parties, while reserving ruling concerning the applications moved to the Judgment of the Petition.
Other petitions that came up today include: EPT/PL/NA/SEN/02/2019, filed by Hon. Sanusi Mohammed Inuwa against Hon. Istifanus Dung (I.D) Gyang, EPT/PL/NA/HR/03/2019, filed by Dongs Pam Gyang challenging the victory of Dachung Musa Bagos, EPT/PL/NA/HR/06/2019, filed bu Johnbull Shakarau and EPT/PL/NA/HR/09/2019, filed by Bitrus Dakwal Tawal, challenging the victory of Hon. Simon Davou Nwadkwom.
The Tribunal has however started and warned that it would not extent any pre-hearing period for any petition, among the petitions that came up today any further, as it advised all parties in the various petitions to file all necessary processes before the various adjourned days.
