The National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Jos, the Plateau State capital has today, commenced Pre-hearing Sessions in petitions EPT/PL/HOA/19/2019, filed by Rt. Hon. Peter Azi (a former Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), challenging the victory of, Dusu Esther Simi, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and EPT/PL/HOA/12/2019, filed by Ajik Amos Ajik, challenging the victory of Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Baba Hassan (a former Deputy Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly), of the APC.
Other petitions, which the Tribunal commenced their Pre-hearing Sessions also includes: EPT/PL/NA/HR/08/2019, filed by Mr. Nandang Bako of the APC challenging the victory of Hon. Beni Lar, a current member, representing Langtang North/South at the Green chambers of the National Assembly, EPT/PL/HOA/16/2019, filed by Hon. Theophilus Krinbut of the PDP, against the victory of Hon. Naanlong Gapyil Daniel of the APC and EPT/PL/HOA/18/2019, filed by Obadia Boka Wilaham of the APC challenging the victory of Bala Fwangje of the PDP.
In the matter between Hon. Danjuma Haruna, and Engr. Solomon Maren, EPT/PL/NA/HR/01/2019, the Tribunal has ordered parties to formulate and file issues for determination, as it prepares to deliver its Pre-hearing Report next Monday, the 27th of May, 2019.
On the other hand, the Tribunal has adjourned petitions EPT/PL/HOA/18/2019, to 27th May, EPT/PL/NA/HR/08/2019, to 30th May, EPT/PL/HOA/16/2019, to 30th May, EPT/PL/HOA/19/2019, to 30th May and EPT/PL/HOA/12/2019, to 28th May, 2019. For hearing of Applications and Motions therein.
