With Plateau State Local Government Council (LGC) elections and the general elections conducted by the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), respectively over and contenders before the various Tribunals setup to looking into complaints that may have arose out of the exercise, attention has now shifted to some indescribable sudden illnesses affecting some elected members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau state.

Secondly, the sudden fears of land grabbing in the LGA and the alleged wholesale of lands, as it relates and affects the Rukuba tribe in the same local government has become the new focus and point of media and political attention in the State.

Just after the two elections in the state, a member who won his return bid to the State House of Assembly died in a yet to be explained manner.

Furthermore, reports have it that the Chairman of the LG Council who won under the APC has not been seen in the Council for some weeks now.

Sources, who spoke to REALITY on the issue, have alleged that the Chairman has been under strange illness and may have been flown out to receive quality medical attention abroad.

The health of the APC candidate, who recently won the Bassa/Jos-North Federal Constituency seat, is currently in the rumour mills also.

Many have alleged that since he won in the recently conducted general election in the state, his health situation has become very unstable and worrisome.

In the course of investigation of some of these rumours making the rounds in the state, REALITY gathered that there is a palpable fear by the Rukuba people that their lands are been sold allegedly behind their back by some government officials on commission basis.

The call by the Rukuba people to their sons to rally round to save their ancestral land heightened this weekend. REALITY can report authoritatively.

These strange illnesses hitting the APC elected member and how the Rukuba people got to know that their lands are been sold, is the focus of an ongoing REALITY investigation.
