By: Valentine Adese (JP),

The gubernatorial candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau state, Sen. J. T. Useni (Rtd), has reiterated that, the state must be restored of its lost glory with a victory for the PDP come 23rd March 2019.

He called on people of the state to come out without fear on Saturday, during the supplementary elections to be conducted in about nine (9) Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state by INEC and vote for restoration.

Sen. J.T Useni, who addressed Journalists today, the 19th of March at his resident in Jos, added that he has never seen a bad election like what was witnessed in the country before.

SEN. USENI ADDRESSING THE PRESS

He said, “The result release by INEC showed that PDP maintained very good scores across all the LGAs.

This is inspite of the widespread thumb printing, vote-buy and outright intimidation by some security men who had absolute no business to do with the election.

In one instance, I personally went out to TudunWada Collation Center and freed voters who were made to lie down on the ground by some security men.

Civil servants and our traditional rulers were threatened to either deliver to APC or lose their jobs or be dethroned.

Votes were simply allocated to APC or bought with large sums of money.

USENI FLANKED BY THE STATE PDP DEPUTY CHAIRMAN, HON. AMOS GOMBI, OTHERS

In some place PDP supporters were not allowed to vote, or their votes were torn to pieces.

Many young people were recruited as thugs without any regards to their future well-being. They even burnt up some ballot boxes.

The card readers were not used in many polling units while in some units they were reported even stolen.

Results were declared without any regard to the choice of the people who voted.

Elections have never been this bad in Nigeria in general and in Plateau State in particular”.
