INCONCLUSIVE GUBER ELECTION: PLATEAU STATE GOVT CALLS FOR CALM

With the declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission that the gubernatorial election conducted in Plateau State inconclusive, the State Government has called for calm.

Plateau State Commissioner of Information and Communication, Yakubu Dati in a press release in Jos, the State capital on Monday morning, also urged citizens in the state to conduct themselves in a peaceful manner, as the political parties in the race and in the state, await 23rd March, 2019, the date now slated by INEC for the conduct of the Supplementary Election.

The Commissioner, who solicited for understanding from the general public, stated that, “The electoral body acted within its powers in line with the electoral laws”.

The Commissioner urged Plateau people to work towards maintaining the peace and successful polls.
