The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Plateau State Council in collaboration with the Wase Emirate Council, has concluded plans to confer on the Emir of Wase, HRH ALH. Muhammadu Sambo Haruna, as the Patron of NUJ, Plateau State Council.
The investiture ceremony is planned to be accompanied by a 200 Million Naira launching by the Union, for the construction of an NUJ House for the state Council.
From the programme made available to REALITY, the event would take place tomorrow, the 26th of January, 2019, at Usuji Event Centre, Apollo Crescent in Jos, the Plateau state capital.
His Excellency Rt. Hon. Dr. Simon Bako Lalong, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Grand Patron of NUJ Plateau State Council, is expected to attend the investiture ceremony, as the Special Guest of Honour, with Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, Speaker House of Reps. as the Distinguished Guest of Honour.
Also, Hon. Idris Maje, Member House of Reps. Abuja, is to serve as the Chief Launcher on the occasion, with the Hon. Minister of Sports, Barr. Solomon Dalung, serving as, the Deputy Chief Launcher.
The Chairman, NUJ, Plateau State Council, Com. Paul Jatau, who is the host of the occasion has urged all Journalists in Plateau state to come out en masse and support the Council in this “August” event.
