By: Valentine Adese,

Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong has approved the payment of the outstanding withheld salaries under the “No work, no pay” inflicted by the former administration in Plateau state and has put smiles again on the faces of Teachers and Local Government workers in the state.

REALITY gathers that the government already has commenced with the payment of two months out of the balance of three months’ arrears through the state Local Government Service Commission.

You would recall that Governor Lalong had on assumption of office, promised to defray the backlog of withheld salaries of Local Government (LG) staff and Primary School Teachers affected by the policy.

The State Commissioner of Information and Communication Yakubu Dati in a statement he personally signed has assured that the Rescue administration led by Governor Simon Lalong in the state would remain committed to the implementation of its Five-point policy thrust of prioritizing the welfare of the citizenry in the state.

Mr. Dati also stated that the administrations’ Committee on “No work, No pay” would be open and ready to “entertain all genuine complaints arising from the exercise, on Wednesday, 24th October, 2018 at the Conference hall of the Office of the Head of Service, J D Gomwalk Secretariat Jos as from 10am in the morning.”
