Alhaji, Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa, has urged Nigerians not to return the incumbent president Muhammadu Buhari to Aso Rock in 2019, as he is not a democrat.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant gave this advice today in Jos, the Plateau state capital, when he came to woo delegates of the party to support and vote for his candidacy in the forthcoming PDP presidential primaries.
The Presidential hopeful, who was warmly welcomed by the state party EXCO, led by the state Chairman, Hon. Damishi Sango, the Bafarawa support group, the youths of the state chapter and other party faithful, said his ambition to clinch, the PDP presidential ticket, is not a “do-or-die affair.”
Alhaji Dalhatu, said, whether he gets the ticket or not, he is willing to work with the winner with the singular aim of removing the incumbent President, Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) from power.
Speaking with Journalists on the issue of Buhari not being a Democrat, Alhaji Bafarawa explained that, “I thought he was a democrat like Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and was going to do things right democratically, when I was the national chairman of the ANPP, but his actions and inactions, as a President on the platform of the APC in the past 3 years has proven my earlier think of him wrong. Buhari is not a democrat hence, Nigeria is the way it is now!”
