Ahead of the forthcoming gubernatorial primary election of the Plateau State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sen. Victor Lar has told the delegates that he is the main man to be given the opportunity to slog it out with the Incumbent Governor of the State, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong who is vying for a return on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Sen. Lar, was at the Plateau state PDP Secretariat and other local government offices of the party yesterday.
In the tour of canvassing for votes from the party delegates, you would recall, Sen. Victor Lar had called for the support for his bid on the state party EXCO led by the state Chairman, Hon. D.T. Sango saying that, “there are aspirants that are only wishing to be candidates but could not buy the party forms. There are others who bought the forms, but their journey stops there, while few of them are men and the he is a Man in that capacity.
As a necessary basic quality, Sen. Lar, declared that, he is a party man, that he believes his party supremacy and that he has adopted all the processes laid down for the forthcoming party primaries in the state.
According to him, “I will support whoever emerges at the primaries, but I am sure it shall be me!”
He promised to build the party’s secretariat in the state, if given the opportunity to serve.
Adding that, “I will turn the state around for the better.”
Sen. Victor Lar, While in Jos-east LGA, promised the PDP delegates that if given the opportunity to fly the PDP flag in the 2019 general election, as a governor, he was going to link the bridge between Fobur n Angware to stop the current detour been made between both towns.
Sen. Lar reminded the party members in Jos-east, especially a former Minister, Engr. M.I. Musa of the brotherly play between the Tarok and Jarawa ethnic groups in Plateau state, while asserting thatJos East is his home and that the people have always voted for him.
Sen. Lar was received at Jos-east LG PDP office by the party’s LG Chairman, Alhaji Salisu Nashalam, who assured him of their usual support.
On his part, Engr. Musa (a former Minister of the Federal Republic) was so appreciative of Sen. Victor Lar’s visit.
At Jos-north LG, Sen. Victor Lar was received by a large crowd of PDP members, elders and delegates.
The LG Chairman of the party, Alhaji Aminu was there to welcome him.
Sen. Lar in few words told the members that, “I have come to ask for your support and blessings.”
