ANAMBRA STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY PASSES SPORTS’ DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION BILL

Anambra lawmakers on Thursday 6th September 2018 read for the third time and passed into law a Bill for a Law to establish “Anambra State Sports Development Commission” and to provide for related matters.

The bill provided/stated the appointment of one member each from the three Senatorial zones of the state.

Legal adviser/secretary of the commission and two more members deemed fit for the commission will be appointed by the governor.

The bill stipulates functions of other members of the commission.

The bill is to enhance the development of sports through the implementation of policy in support of sports activities in the state.
