By: Valentine Adese and Alfred Saiki,
The much awaited Senatorial bid and declaration of the Hon. Edward Pwajok (SAN), currently representing the good people of Jos South/East Federal Constituency at the Lower chambers of the National Assembly (NASS) comes up today, at his constituency office in Bukuru, in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Hon. Edward Pwajok (SAN), one of the longest serving Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice Plateau State is expected to brief his constituents of the journey so far at the NASS and why he intends to run for the Plateau North Senatorial seat on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), currently being occupied by a former governor of the state, Sen. Jonah Jang, who also has this week, declared his interest to run for the Presidential seat, as “The face of the Middle-Belt” on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
You would recall that Hon. Pwajok (SAN) has been in the eyes of his supporters, promoters and the people of Plateau North Senatorial District to have ran for the seat since the demise of late Sen. Dr. Dantong, who died under mysterious circumstances during a raid by gunmen in his district, but for his humility, altruistic and unselfish behaviour to leadership and followership, according to pundits in the state, he personally nominated another, in order to serve and lead the administration he was in to a success.
As the man of the moment, Hon. Pwajok would be expected to roll in paper and ink, his achievements in the Green chambers to enable the members of APC in Jos South, Jos East, Bassa, Barkin-ladi, Riyom and Jos-North, nominate and elect and adopt him as their candidate in the run for the 2019 general elections in the party’s forthcoming Senatorial Primary election in the state.
