Taking advantage of the Not-Too-Young-To-Run Bill, Arch. Hart Bankat has declared his intention to run for the governorship seat of Plateau state under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) come 2019.
The aspirant, who made his intention known to party faithful and the EXCO of the state chapter today at the party’s secretariat, said it is time for the elders in the state to watch how governance is.
He said, “We don’t want to retire our elders or send them packing but, we as the present generation of youths, want you to seat back and watch the youths drive the process.”
Arch. Hart added that, “Today is the beginning of a history that would produce the first youngest governor in the country from Plateau state. We came so that our elders would bless us to enable us face the challenges head-on!
“It is less than 365 days for the present administration in the state to hand over power but, I must tell you that the present administration in the state has borrowed huge money that my generation and generations after me would find it very difficult to pay back. We want to come and be part of the process and rule what will affect our future.
“We have come if given the opportunity, to create an enabling environment that would allow for peaceful coexistence, tolerance among our people.
“Our train has a major purpose of taking the state to the Promised Land. Please, kindly join us!
